Power and Wisdom

1 Corinthians 1.25

The foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men.

1 Corinthians 1.26-31

Not many wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble are called.

God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty.

The base things of the world and the things which are despised, God has chosen, and the things which are not, to bring to nothing the things that are.

That no flesh should glory in His presence.  But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who become for us wisdom from God-and righteousness and sanctification and redemption-that, as it is written, “He who glories, let him glory in the Lord.”

1 Corinthians 2.1-5

I came to you, not with excellence of speech or of wisdom declaring to you the testimony of God.  For I determined not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified.  I was with you in weakness, in fear, and in much trembling.  And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of the power, that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God.

1 Corinthians 2.7-10

We speak of wisdom of God in a mystery, the hidden wisdom which God ordained efore the ages for our glory, which none of the rulers of this age knew; for had they known, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.

But as it is written:

“Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.”

God has revealed them to us through His Spirit.  For the Spirit searches all things, Yes, the deep things of God.
