Susanne Lambert, 2011 NORCARR’S VIRGINIA FRANKS ACHIEVEMENT OF EXCELLENCE AWARDEE

Sue Lambert is an outstanding nurse, an excellent supervisor and a successful leader who for the past 19 years has been Carobell’s Director of Nursing.  She is well respected for her preventive practices and her insight, continually working toward a healthier outcome for those under her care.  She is always accountable, no matter the time of day or night.  Sue’s career experience includes the title of Commander, Retired, from the United States Navy Reserve, and she is one of the first nurses in North Carolina to receive national certification from the Developmental Disabilities Nursing Association (DDNA).  A teacher by nature, Sue allows her nursing staff to handle situations as they come up, but she is keenly observant at all times, willing to step in at  a moment’s notice if assistance is needed.  She definitely has “STOOD THE WATCH” to ensure all medical needs of our organization are met at all times.  Sue is our hero and very deserving of the Virginia Franks award, named after Carobell’s founder.
